  • « …A benefit for mind and soul . The Tcha Limberger Trio demonstrated in the well-attended theatre how artful and at the same time stirring the music from the Carpathian Basin can sound - the music of his family.. » Matthias Gans   – KLANG KOSMOS

« …Lost love sung about in different ways. The name of the Bruges-born Sinto already had so much charisma in advance that the black cube was completely sold out. Tcha Limberger also brought charisma to the stage. There, the group enraptured the guests from the very first song. His violin conjured up such warm sounds in the cube that you simply had to surrender to them... » Matthias Gans   – LIPPISCHE LANDESZEITUNG

The Trio

The first time this trio worked together was for a contemporary dance performance choreographed by Lisi Estaras. Tcha was sure Benjamin Clement and Vilmos Csikos would be a perfect match for what he intended to create and he was not mistaken. Often Tcha points out that with this trio, he could play easily 8 hours of music, without blinking and without repeating one single tune twice.
Vilmos Csikos, born in Budapest is a fabulous double bass player who's sound both with the bow and pizzicato is unmatched. He has played with the greats of the Hungarian gipsy music sutch as Jaroka Sandor, Boross Lajos, Robi Lakatos etc etc. He also participated in projects such as Tcha Limberger's Budapest Gypsy Orchestra, I Silenti and many more.
Benjamin Clement, Brussels, is a guitar player with a vast knowledge of repertoire and a vast range of styles, such as Django Reinhart's music, Greek traditional styles, Bulgarian, Romanian, Transylvanian etc. Other then in this trio, he can be found in Tatavla trio (Tcha's Greek formation), Renaud Dardenne trio, Danube Express and many other bands aside.

The trio proposes two different programs. In the first, Tcha concentrates on the songs and instrumental music that 'Manouche’ play other then Django Reinhard's music. That obviously includes a lot of Tcha Limberger's family repertoire and results in him telling quite a lot of anecdotes and funny stories that go with the songs played during the concerts.
The other program consists, as Tcha puts it, of all the things that he can manage with this trio. Magyar Nóta Hungarian, Musica Làutareasca Romanian, Transylvanian, Serbian, Manouche and even Greek songs … and of course, depending on the situation a good old Swing tune can find it's way in there as-well.
Tcha always finds his way to tell some interesting stories to make the public feel a part of what is happening on stage and make them travel with him to all these places that are so dear to him.,
