It gives me great pleasure to announce The Tcha Sessions, my new five-day residential workshop festival that will take place in beautiful Transylvania.
The idea of the festival was born during the time when I used to live in a village called Alunişu, Magyarókereke, and during my many tours playing music from that particular region.
The quiet of the village setting is ideal for learning, discovering and improving musical skills. As it is the first time, I am organising such an event, I will be doing only four days of workshops.
An educational festival, open to all acoustic instruments with both group session and individual classes.
I’ll be teaching mainly about the style of Django Reinhardt, how to improvise, accompany, maybe some Manouche songs…
For sure, Transylvanian music will be sounding during those days, as I’m hoping to invite some of my local friends and colleagues to come and play a bit in the evenings…. The setting is very rural. A deep love of nature, simplicity, such as outdoor showers etc., and even adventure is good to have, when you come here.
For more comfort there is a village 3km away called Sancraiu that has been hosting tourists for well over 30 years.
Bed and breakfast possibilities in more standard form, are easily found if you book early enough.
Others may be willing to bring their own tents etc, for which there is plenty of space.

- food and bed at Provision: €40pp/night (total €200 euro)
- food and your own tent at Provision: €35/pp/night (total €175)
- food and accommodation elsewhere: €30/pp/day (total €150)

- Accommodation paid in cash to Provision on arrival.
