Zaterdag 24 september vindt de zesde editie van het Zigeunermuziekfestival plaats in Monnickendam. De laatste keer, in 2018, waren 14 orkesten van de partij, die verspreid over vijf locaties, in het centrum van het kleine stadje, voor meer dan 1.400 man publiek een muzikaal feest verzorgden.

Dit keer zijn zelfs 20 orkesten van de partij, uit binnen- en buitenland. Naast de grote namen als Tcha Limberger, Giani Lincan en The Balkony Players, treden ook diverse amateurorkesten op. De orkesten spelen verspreid over zes locaties in het historische stadje.

Van 18.00 tot ongeveer 23.30 uur is er doorlopend muziek, dans, eten en een drankje. Ieder orkest speelt ruim een uur. Toegang is gratis!

The sixth edition of the Gypsy Music Festival will take place in Monnickendam on Saturday 24 September. The last time, in 2018, 14 orchestras took part, spreading over five locations in the center of the small town, providing a musical feast for more than 1,400 people.

This time, even 20 orchestras from the Netherlands and abroad will participate. In addition to the big names such as Tcha Limberger, Giani Lincan and The Balkony Players, various amateur orchestras also perform. The orchestras play across six locations in the historic town.

There is continuous music, dance, food and drinks from 6:00 PM to approximately 11:30 PM. Each orchestra plays for over an hour. Admission is free!
