Le Quatuor Ideal
A cross-pollination between Tcha Limberger and Philippe Thuriot was predestined.
A close collaboration had been simmering since 2008 during the tour with Alain Platel’s Pitié. Ten years later, during the preparation of the new piece by Fabrizio Cassol and Lisaboa Houbrechts, I Silenti, the pieces of the puzzle fall into place. Tcha, Philippe and bassist Vilmos Csikos play in this Monteverdi project. Three quarters were sealed. A loyal ally of Tcha, Benjamin Clement, is hoisted aboard this swinging sloop.

The quartet revolves around the music of Bach, Debussy, Fauré, Grieg, Brahms and other classical composers. It pulls it into other dimensions. Compositions change shape. But they lose none of their essence. On the contrary, the essential is highlighted. With some Transylvanian perspectives. Django Reinhardt lurks.
“You see four friends, connected by music and laughter, enjoying the beauty of melody and harmony, driven by the irresistible universal rhythm of music that makes you dream, long, travel… A poetic journey on a raft with four pedigree musicians.
